Running 1:10:00 [4]

Pennine running again, felt a bit energetic so sped off up hills into the dark, found a marsh on a 'short cut', made feet a bit cold but then ran up to big rocks and across to mt famine (not up it)
small turn out meant a faster pace than normal, i forgot how fun running in the dark is!

Ran up hill from edale, on the edge path there was some rather familier conditions, misty, rainy, bit chilly... legs weren't cooperating too well uphill but were quite happy with flat/steap decent!

Last track before xmas, 6mins run 2mins rest, 5 mins run 2mins rest 4 mins run 3mins rest X2
seccond set i did 5,4,3mins instead as a bit nackered!

attempt 1 to see how my shins like things that are harder than wet mud!
session was meant to be 4X6min reps again, i did rep 1 as 1000m in about 3:35 which made me happy then jogged the next 6mins with dave, did rep 3 as a 1000m in roughly 3:40 i think (hard to tell without a watch) then jogged the last 6mins
dont think my shins entirely enjoyed it, will find out for deffinate by 2morro i guess! this now looks odd as a 12minute session but that was the only time i was running hard!

Running warm up/down 12:00 [2]

4 laps warm up/down (not counted in the time above or that would not be slow at all) and in between fast intervals jogged 2 laps each time with dave slowly

everything hurt a little bit more!
40X45/15s again, i managed to do it though, yes!

orienteering race (longshaw national) 1:03:02 [4] 6.4 km (9:51 / km) +245m 8:16 / km

Very tired! made it to control 12 then had the leg that got taken out, after walking that i couldnt get going very well again for the last part but didnt do too shabbily.
mind was on a bit of a go slow so navigation took some severe thought! might have something to do with pop tarts......

orienteering race (chasing sprint) 37:00 [4]

Made some, erm, interesting route choices.....therefore ran fast in many the slightly wrong direction! i was a bit happy about running again :-)
got very wet but was excellent fun! then tried to stay warm enough to do the chase, failed and so sat on the bus trying to warm up for 3 hrs!

race against darkness to get to winnats, we failed......
varying intensity (3/4)felt good at the start, hill didnt feel like too much of an effort up to fox house! wind prevented full downhill speed fun so we had to speed it up along the hope valley! started to feel lack of eating much around about hope so was happy when we ate fudge and drank hot chocolate in castleton waiting for wil (thank u for saving us from cold and having to cycle through the pitch black home!!)
ps i think theres something about the traffic lights as u leave sheffield for attracting idiots in cars! same place as 4X4 incident we got sped past by honking driver!

slept:4.0

warm up ride visiting langsett cycles and going to pay the deposit at the fat cat for xmas meal! nice climb up crooksmore road to finish/start actual ride as we needed more layers!!
