Saturday May 17

Running race 1:35:55 [4] 8.0 mi (11:59 / mi) +914m 5:30 / km
Moel Eilio - british champs fell race
decided to test the ankle on something LAMM like-esque to see how mending was going.....thought i'd pick up some champs points along the way too
answer - ankle is not fixed, does not like steep decents or rocky paths however.....having said that i ran not very fast so probably didnt damage it further (and managed to only be 10mins behind emma clayton while not running fast - makes me smile :-D)
so 3rd U23 will put me in the running - now to decide where to get more points from!
C • that aint too bad. make sur... 1

Friday May 16

Swimming 1:00:00 [3]

ankle didnt particularly like front crawl style but it got used to it a bit, did a good 5 mins or so of 'aqua running' at the end...

Sunday May 4

orienteering race 1:19:20 [5] *** 8.4 km (9:27 / km) +210m 8:24 / km
spiked:20/23c
FCC Day 2 - Keldy and Cawthorne Camps - was really looking forward to this as 8km ish is usually where im good, had good start to the run, coming through the spectator control (11) in just over half an hour with the most technical section over, having only lost a few seconds on 4.
heading over to 12 however i started to feel a bit tired and sick so slowed it a bit.
Was ok up until 16 where i saw rachel, apparently my mind can't handle being shattered and seeing somebody i recognise!
had real trouble remembering how to route choose on my way to 17 so lost a minute or so, then on the way to 18 i had a sudden loss of confidence for no reason what so ever! i was practically on top of the control when i decided i must be wrong, so diverted down the hill only to find i had to run back from where i came from!
After all this i had no energy left to be annoyed and correct errors with so just took the last few controls slowly.
Quite dissapointed with the end result after the clean start, just don't think i'm quite fit enough for a run like that atm(again with my navigation being *better* than my running - i dont like it this way round!)
plus my ankle now hates me more than ever and has taken a few leg muscles down with it! GRRRRR!
ah well, rant over, can't do much about it now, just gotta fix myself and get fit for LAMM (really fingers crossed for this!) - 5 wks and counting!

Saturday May 3

orienteering race 42:36 [4] *** 3.8 km (11:13 / km) +175m 9:07 / km
spiked:16/18c
FCC finals day 1 - gilling woods, had a fairly clean run, probably lost 2mins max by faffing if that! felt a bit slow but then short is not my thing! ran into a fence woop to blindness!! impressive bruise!
