Running race 35:23 [4] 3.35 mi (10:34 / mi) +270m 8:27 / mi

Lambs 'shorter' longer leg - altered race route - which although they say is slightly shorter I mapped and found to be slightly longer (normal race 3.22 miles, similar climb).
Anyway - felt more like I was racing today - put a bit of a kick in up some of the hills - more of a kick down the hills though and along into the finish trying to hold a couple of guys off!
2:45 quicker than this time last year and it wasnt half boggy and snowy today! yey! I've decided this is the year for PBs!
Even though its not comparable to last year - Mary beat me by 2 mins last year and beat her my a minute today so it kind of works out...
2nd woman to kirstin bailey who got me by about 2 mins

Running race 41:01 [3] 8.0 km (5:08 / km) +120m 4:46 / km
slept:6.0

Northern X-country - Really good course with a good amount of hill for a cross country! Sadly I really didn't feel like I was pushing it and didn't have that bit extra that usually goes into races, Found my mind wandering off at times - oops
Played stay with rach for the first 2 laps - then a girl from stockport came past me who looked like some1 from my old training group which gave me a boost as I thought I'd kept her off for 2 laps (considering this person generally ran 1min/km faster than me at stockport this made me happy) - I then played staying with her and it became apparent that it wasn't carla at all...
Fun bit of running - never said that about a cross country before :-P

120th overall

Running 1:05:51 [3] 8.35 mi (7:53 / mi) +192m 7:22 / mi

Finished exam - didn't feel at all like running afterward - or sitting - or standing - or revising - or doing anything....decided to run it out of me so headed out and raced against darkness through the parks:
Broomhill, endcliffe park - bingham park (saw Treb and Kris) up to forge dam - out to the road at the end - moorland road - crimicar lane - redmires road - sandygate road - lydgate lane - school road - home!
Didn't mean to run that fast but it felt comfy so apparently I did...
so so so glad i went out! not looking forward to saturday though, don't think I've got more than a level 3 in me at the moment...
