O5 run - feeling a lot better in the legs than the other day! 2 big hills. Quite a bit of road as the trails were really muddy (worth noting for the mtb). Pretty clean route, only one control we could possibly have fitted in but didn't spot the short cut through to the path so though it was going to be twice the distance it actually would have been. Ah well, only 25points lost!

What turned out to be a much quicker loop than we thought it would be! Half way round we realised we'd made an error missing 2 earlier controls as we were going to be 30mins or so early back. This resulted in us deciding to ride back across the map to get one before heading for the finish. Pretty confident of our fastest split for 6-1, fastest of 1 team choosing that daft route! We hammered the last bit covering just under 12 miles in 35mins - given my legs gave up that wasn't too bad! Would probably have been a good day to go big on the run and be back more like 2hrs5/10 then be confident on the bike but after last time we played it a bit too safe... 2nd to Jess and Rowena.
Not to self - try eating more before the last hour of the race!
