Note
(injured)

Lump getting larger - more swelling - confirmed as ganglion cyst. So, 5 weeks to the itera, the only treatment option offered between now and then by the GP was homeopathy which I'm not sure I'm pinning all my hopes on.....
It may just go away on it's own, however I can't really take the risk of it not - On the hunt for somebody to aspirate it asap then hoping it lasts until the end of the race/at least for a few days into it! Alternative plans involving two different laces in shoes so not putting so much pressure across it in development.
Anyone any experience with this/ any ideas?

Note

Foot swelling returned - antibiotics not making any difference, I think Zanthe is right with Ganglion cyst theory.

Felt good on the bike, think the legs have finally recovered from beasting over Duddon, Ennerdale and BG Support!

Whilst I was disappointed not to be out supporting Adam on his awesome attempt at the BG 24hr record, watching his supporters returning beaten and knackered did take the edge off slightly. Rode with Edie instead - over Newlands to Loweswater where we caught the end of buttermere horseshoe then back over whinlatter before a quick tea, meeting a battered Wil at Honister, cheering Adam through Newlands within 5 mins of the schedule and then catching a couple of hours sleep in Braithwaite before waiting with baited breath!

So close I've no doubt that record will be his one day!
