Running race 2:15:15 [3] 11.6 mi (11:40 / mi) +1000m 9:12 / mi

Kentmere - ummed and ahhhed and decided I felt ok by Sat and it'd be fine.
It was fine for 5-10mins, in which time I'd set off with Hazel and run up through the field onto the track. Overtook a lot in the transition from road to track as people had set off too fast on the tarmac surprise surprise. Was just settling in and gaining on Hollie when it was all over. No pin point moment, but just started sliding backwards and there was nothing I could do about it.
Got up the first climb approx 3mins faster than on our recce....except on the recce we got lost and also didn't take the straight line, running half a mile more to get to the top....so essentially I was slower.... Told myself to man up and it wasn't like I'd been overtaken that much, I just wasn't where I wanted to be. Should have called it quits but was probably still top 15 at that point.

So carried on.....by High St matters had got a bit worse and I really was out for a jog. Absolutely nothing to give. Got round but thats about all I can say about it.

12mins slower than my PB from 4 years ago which would have been good enough for 9th....I am now faster than 4 years ago and had not run Lingmell dash the day before! Ah well, can't win em all and the saving grace was that I was 30th so it gets me a point! Phew, that was my main aim by high street...

Note
(rest day)

Feeling a bit off, bit worried I'm getting ill. That or work, thesis and training is finally adding up. Will see how it progresses but not sure Kentmere is the best idea....

Running race 56:04 [3] 4.33 mi (12:57 / mi) +580m 9:09 / mi

Blisco Dash. Not feeling good today but legs were still feeling fine so smashed the way up, reaching Jack at the top ahead of Wil. It's a shame my decending is soooo rubbish atm, Wil took the couple of minutes buffer out of me in next to no time. Think ankle bending less with ganglion. Also tied shoes too tight around it which was painful. Must have been better than it felt though as I won :-)
