Helm Hill Tonne Up Challenge. So very nearly didn't do this. Was the first in a series of Helm Hill Runners challenges and I thought may be pushing it on the descent levels, having done one run with a hill in so far, yesterday...
Decided to give it a go as the obvious way for me to do it would be with a hill rep so could always stop if the descent was too much impact.
Well....it wasn't. Surprisingly fine! 6 x helm reps on the steepest way up, so some walking involved obviously, around 4:15-5:05 per ascent. Taking it steady on the down.
Ready for training to be allowed back on now :-)

It's reminded me what DOMS are though!

Baby carrying outing with Lucy and Joss up Sour Howe and just skirting Sallows as Joss was unhappy (fair enough, windy up high). Great weather compared to what was meant to happen, blowy up high though!

A wet afternoon ride with Sal, real outdoor riding. Natland, Seizergh, Levens, Underbarrow, Staveley, home. Good catch up and nice to be out even if soggy!

WTRL race league on the Harrogate world champs circuit. Loved the route, found I can do short sharp efforts much better than sustained ones atm. Some endurance to build. Turns out I can in fact climb still if the climb is only 3.5 mins long....
