Louise and I made a late entry into the US Rogaine Champs at Henry Coe in 9 days. We entered the 4-hr category (as Louise put it: a compromise between her wanting to the 8 and me wanting to do the 0). It appears that I'm the oldest male entered in the competition (any category) and Louise the oldest female.

Lake Ranch Reservoir. The usual run. Splits: 533, 601, 542, 513, 456, 442, 612, 447. This was a real struggle: my whole body still feels very beat up from last weekend. Louise finished a couple of minutes ahead of me.

Louise and I, eager for some exercise after a couple of days of inactivity, go out for a run on Skyline, but we're both really dragging so we turned back at Four Winds.
Pretty unrestful rest day. Woke up in Nashua, NH. Spent the morning at the Oracle facility. Drove to Wellesley, MA to pick up Louise, then to Bradley airport near Hartford, CT. Our flight to DC was so delayed that we would've missed the connection to SF, so they put us on a flight to Chicago - and then that flight was delayed on the tarmac, but fortunately we did make the connection to SF. Got home after 1 am (4 am East Coast time).
With the excitement of the weekend racing over, I realized how sore my ribs are. I must've bruised or cracked something when I fell on Saturday. Amazingly, it didn't impede me on Sunday, but it sure hurts now.
