Lake Ranch Reservoir. Chilly (low 50's). Takes a little while to get going, but felt better as I went a long. Decent time for such a relaxed run.

Strength exercises 1:00:00 [4]

Full sets of the theraband exercises, about 80% of the rest: pilates matt, hips, adductors, weights. Also did some achilles exercises and plank (trying to get more core work in without stressing my legs).

Two 15 minute sessions, one in the early afternoon, one before dinner. Intend to do more of this on rest days.

Long Ridge. Lovely day. Start at the Stonehenge end, run the loop counter-clockwise. Ended at the Ward Rd hairpin turn (where the loop leaves the ridge).

---------- 604 -- trail meets road after Stonehenge
(944) 1548 -- Ward meets Long Ridge (then down) [1.35 mile mark]
(1425) 3013 -- junction with trail to Grizzly Flat parking
(917) 3930 -- junction with cut-off trail (Peters Creek)
(934) 4904 -- view point
(502) 5406 -- Ward meets Long Ridge [4.95 mile mark]
----------518 -- loop backs [+.45 miles]

Pushed pretty well up the big hill to the view point, but by the time I reached the Ward Rd switchback, my legs had had it (and Louise was behind with a headache). Stopped there and jog-walked back (see below).

Drank a gel pack in 5 oz of water along the way. Seemed that I wasn't as depleted as usual at the end.

Note: distances are approximate based on the park trail map and my pace.

Walking 23:20 [3] 1.4 mi (16:40 / mi) +100m 13:38 / mi
shoes: Salomon Speedcross 3

Actually some jogging, too, all to get back to the car. These hills are so steep that even walking is a workout. Includes a 1:30 loop back at the beginning of the cool down.
