Running (Easy distance) 11:59 [3] 1.14 mi (10:31 / mi)
shoes: Kayano 20 Blue

Front of house. Just loosening up, seeing if my legs feel OK for Saturday's trail run at Salt Point. Time was decent, legs didn't feel too bad, but it wasn't as easy as it would be if I were peaking for a race (which I'm not), that is, there was no way I could have picked it up for a third lap.

2 x loop: 619, 540

Had originally thought about doing this early in the morning, but legs didn't feel that good and there really wasn't time, so then I thought about doing it tomorrow, but again time would be tight, so decided on doing it before dinner, which led to a very late dinner.

Running warm up/down 4:40 [2] 0.25 mi (18:41 / mi)

Note
(rest day)

Home late last night after birthday dinner for L at Green's in SF. Late start to the morning, then tried to help L get ready for trip to the cabin, so I wound up leaving late. Rushed lunch with my brother, then rush to my 2pm meeting at Redwood Shores - but my manager never showed up. Visit David for 15 mins, then drive back to Los Gatos Whole Foods through traffic. In other words, an awfully hectic "rest" day.

Walking 40:43 [3]
shoes: Kayano 20 Blue

Lake Ranch Reservoir. Knees and glutes begging for another day off. But Louise wanted to run at the lake, and since it's her birthday, I agreed to accompany her, and since it's a lovely day, figured I'd at least go for a walk. Walked at a good clip, and every minute or two (except on the bigger hills), I did a slow jog for 15 to 25 seconds. Seemed OK, certainly glad I didn't do more, hope what I did wasn't enough to keep my legs from healing a bit more.

Note: turned around at 20 min; had just started the uphill to the lake

Note
(rest day)

Legs quite tired today. Seems like I should have stuck with the idea yesterday that I needed an easy run.
