Ross - Phoenix Lake. High 40's, no wind, should've worn lighter long-sleeve top.
Last night, it was announced that all parks in Marin are now closed because so many people crowded into them yesterday, not observing social distancing. So, we decided to run through the streets of Ross, figuring we might find some dirt or gravel margins. Parked near Bread & Butter at the southern end of San Anselmo and started the run at the corner of San Anselmo Ave and Bolinas Ave. Down Shady Lane (fair amount of gravel margin) then onto Lagunitas, where there was a dirt horse path on the right side (had never particularly noticed when driving by). L suggested we check out the gate to Natalie Green park - and to our surprise, the sign indicated vehicular traffic prohibited, but foot traffic OK. So we ran down the road to the parking lot, then up to the dam then along Phoenix Rd to the fork with the Yolanda Trail, then back to the dam.
Stayed with L the whole time, so this was a pretty easy run. Could've run a lot more at this pace, but, in any case, was feeling like running myself down is not really thing to do when I need my immune system to be at it's strongest.
Cooled down a bit on the dam and then down the road almost to the parking lot, and then walked all the way back to the car (had to jog quite a few times to keep up with L). Cool down logged below.
1517 --- to gate on road into the park
352 ----- to parking lot
343 ----- up to usual start (started split a little late)
433 ----- junction w/Yolanda Trail
417 ----- back to usual finish (same as usual start) by the dam
