Running warm up/down 5:15 [3] 0.5 mi (10:30 / mi)
shoes: Inov-8 Oroc 280

Orienteering race 1:08:16 [3] 5.34 km (12:47 / km)
shoes: Inov-8 Oroc 280

Middle- I started out good, was going at an average pace which worked, but then after about 4 controls I started to have some bad route choices and wasn't reading the map as thouroughly as I should have and I kept having bobbles, then some of my route choices were kinda slow and I messed up near the circle on 8. Route choice to 10 was just crappy, and I knew that I had made a bad choice so I wasn't really motivated to move quicker, but after that I picked it up and finished the last couple ones better.

Note

Been feeling not so great the past day and a half. My back hurt a lot after the strength and conditioning yesterday morning, and has been hurting in certain movements since. (slightly more than in the past week) Also, yesterday afternoon my head started hurting and hasn't stopped since, with only occasional periods of relief. My eyes also hurt when I move them, but none of this was really a problem during the race.
I'm thankful it didn't affect my racing(I think).

It went pretty well, could have had some better route choices. The emit was pretty handy except some time I was maybe a couple inches too far and didn't see the flash so I went back a couple steps to wave the emit over it again. I guess at number three I wasn't close enough, and I didn't check for a flash.. (though I was sure I did at every one) because when I finished I had "miss punched". I assure you, I went to the control so my time would not have been different.
