Easy run around woods and Penicuik Est (where they've created some nice new paths), including some terrain and stiffer, short hills to test calf. Not feeling too bad. Wet and windy.

Back in Auld Reekie and into uni gym. 30min on rower, 15min stretching. Nice change from running in the rain at 8 o'clock in the morning.

Into Edinburgh by NR73 & NR1, did some things, back via Fairmilehead and Bush. Longest ride for a whlie - felt good. Wet, muddy, breezy.

Gym stuff again today - perhaps get back to some running tomorrow. Rower, spin, strength, stretch. Well, variety is the spice of life, isn't it?

Walk/run in terrain 1:15:00 [2]

Testing out L calf after tweak at the weekend. Lots of walk/jog to begin with. Last 15min running on the flat, some fairly firm. Not there yet, still uncomfortable.

Not wanting to put too much strain on L calf, but glorious morning, so went round some country lanes and tracks, back to Penicuik on the railway line. Good spin.

Just some jogging around at a coaching sesion yesterday. Gym today - 20min rower, 20min bike, 10min stretch.

Spent the last two days in meetings. Weather still high pressure, very cold, calm, dry. Lovely easy/steady run in and around the woods above Penicuik. Paths icy in places. At last they're clearing up the fallen trees from the gales last January and so opening up some paths. Felt good.

Underestimated how much snow and ice still out there. Biting wind. Just creeping along on the paths but great off the tracks in Penicuik Est.

Hoping to do some mileage this w/end so just warm up on the rower and then stretch in the gym today.

Damp, windy, cold, a bit slippy, hardly anyone out running. Loopy run around Holyrood Park, probably too well wrapped up and it felt like hard work. L calf a bit tight, as ever.
Restarted this log 'cos I want to do some interesting training this winter, not the same old stuff, and this log will help analysis.
