Running race (Orienteering) 51:00 [5] *** 5.1 km (10:00 / km) +50m 9:32 / km

Scottish Night Champs at Kinneil Wood - well, south of Scotland champs in reality. Not the best night run but good enough to win. The organisers did well to negate the efforts of the local vandals.

Friday Feb 22

Cycle 30:00 [4]
Cycling indoors is cheating, I know, but it's all I could manage today because of work. So, went pretty hard at the favourite Cross Country course. Friday a.m. is not a time you expect to meet folks in the gym but Douglas was there post knee op., and Pricey, at a class for oldies.

Wednesday Feb 20

Circuit training 55:00 [4]
Excitement at circuits class as we moved on to stage training - 6 stations, 3 x round 3 exercises at each station. This was followed by a fairly tough intervals session on ergos - 45s, 35s, 25s, 15s, 25s, 35s with 15s rest between.

Tuesday Feb 19

Short lunchtime session on Blackford Hill - 5 x 2 min up steady slope. Times were good, but then so was the weather, excellent in fact. Still feeling a bit tired after Sunday's efforts.

Sunday Feb 17

Running race (Orienteering) 1:35:42 [5] *** 7.4 km (12:56 / km) +380m 10:17 / km
spiked:21/24c
CC event at Elibank. Nice forest in places, rough underfoot elsewhere, with some particularly nasty moss-covered bouldery areas. Felt a bit slow, but to survive this I must be more-or-less recoverd from the cold. A really tough workout - good training.
