Mt Diablo hike with Katie, logged at half time. We hiked the whole way, with no running. Total elapsed time (including all breaks and a long 20-30 minute stop at the summit) was 6:23. The vistas were magnificent. I brought 5L of fluid (2L water reserve, 3L weak gatorade), a bag of peanut butter pretzels, peanut M&Ms, and some extra clothing. Katie had about 2.5L of water. There was a water fountain at the summit, and I topped off my reserve, but I drank about 4L total. It was warm and sunny, though a cool breeze mitigated the conditions. We grabbed a late lunch at a taco place in Walnut Creek.
