Cycling (Spin Bike) 32:00 [3] 15.0 km (2:08 / km)

various interval efforts, nothing extreme.

Row torture machine 4:00 [3] 1.0 km (4:00 / km)

just a steady session.

Cycling warm up/down (Spin Bike) 10:00 [3]

Stretching/Rehab etc 15:00 [1]

Note

legs feeling much better today although the previously good achilles (L) still a bit tender. Have to decide if I run tomorrow or not, 90 mins will pretty much guarantee a repeat of last week, 4 days pain and recovery... but worried i may cause more damage??

Friday Jun 16, 2017 #

Note

both Achilles still not painless but getting back to manageable.

Friday Leg massage #2
Nothing really tight although did release some tension spots, R Hammy tighter than L which was all good.

Legs felt amazingly good after.

Thursday Jun 15, 2017 #

Cycling (spin class) 46:00 [4] 18.0 km (2:33 / km)

first bit of activity for the week and its Thursday already.
Did feel too flash, neither strength nor cardio. Lots of hill work.
Hope I don't catch anything as all 5 instructors have the flu and Mike thought he'd do us right by turning up and doing his best, giving it away 2/3 through.

Wednesday Jun 14, 2017 #

Note

slight improvement with tendons each day but still not up to anything drastic, just light rehabs

Tuesday Jun 13, 2017 #

Note

lower legs still munted

Monday Jun 12, 2017 #

Note

Lower legs munted the same as last time - to be expected really. Surprised they felt so reasonable while running yesterday.

reduced to some massaging and gentle weight baring for the next couple of days in order to restore normal walking pose.

Orienteering Race race 1:31:01 [4]

Rogaine 2 @ Riverhead
940 (-40 for 1min & 1 second late) = 900pts.
Should have got a few more points easily but didn't because of a strange set of errors as follows;
1. Started 37-34-32 but due to forgetful mind and concentrating on looking ahead I went close by 34 without punching going to it.
2. End was looking a bit tight but thought it was manageable however I stupidly got sucked down into the green gully coming down into 52, ended up bashing about and crossing it to get around the mapped green,. Must have dropped a minute there.
3. Time getting tight now but reasonably calculated gamble to get 42, thinking I'd gain 40pts and lose 20 at most being under a minute late.
4. Pushed hard at the end, saw the finish flag in the crowd of people so went for that.. over-running the finish control by 10 meters.
Aghhh 1 minute and 1 SECOND over so lost the whole 40 :(
Should have got 970. Happy with my route although I did make a couple of small errors or slight sub optimal routes.
Was happy just to run around to be honest after all these leg issues. Was very tired in places and seemed to be puffing a lot louder than those around me... Walked up the really be climbs like most peeps.
460 entries beautiful fine day. Awesome. Muddy as it was more recent rain would have made this clay super boggy.
