The warm glow from winning the EMPO Club Champs didn't last long. Had significant difficulty on 5 or 6 controls, totaling probably 30 minutes lost. Most of the confusion involved rock features - it seemed to be everywhere, and I was having a hard time distinguishing the mapped from the unmapped rock. We don't have enough rock in EMPO-land to practice on. I've been here 3 times before, so I should have a feel for the place by now. Hit the last 6 controls cleanly: 18-14-13-8-4-3-home.
