Simpson ground. This area needs attack and vigour and I had none, very energy depleted for some reason. Waste of an evening as I sacked it off at 6 and jogged on the track for a bit.

Feels almost wrong to say with such a wealth of top quality o events in easy reach, but let's put evening orienteering as a loss - after a day frying my brain at work I want nice orienteering where I can find a few flags and enjoy some running with a bit of physical/technical interest. Windblown trees and brash more a weekend thing, and not really in summer. By all accounts missing the open area was the correct decision.
