Orienteering race (Stockport Town Race) 49:45 [4] *** 7.4 km (6:43 / km) +110m 6:15 / km
spiked:20/24c slept:6.0 weight:69.9kg shoes: Asics somethings
MDOC's Stocky town race, good place to do it actually. Courses took me everywhere, and, even thoughI know the stairways etc. in Stockport quite well, Still managed to catch myself out a few times! Lost contact with the map once, but a 90 degree error resulted in no time lost as the control was on the side of the road - each control being marshalled to protect it from the locals meant there was no problem finding the control... apart from number 11 (which was also 16) which I managed to miss both times, despite Liz yelling/waving at me...
Most time lost was due to slowing down to plan routes, and a bit of walking every now and then to ease the knee, which now really hurts quite a bit. Gay...

Dancing 10:00 [1]
Iain's Dad's (and others) Birthday bash. Turned up, found iain, and spent the rest of the night behind the bar. However, 3 kegs, 210 pints of free beer, so was a good do. Had a Ceilidh, did a bit of dancing, then Iain, Mark, the bowdens and I showed all the old folks what the kool kidz are doing on the dance floor nowadays to the 'disco' - i.e. dirty/bad taste/daft dancing.
Much beer consumed. :)

Running 45:00 [2] 4.86 mi (9:15 / mi) +161m 5:13 / km
slept:8.0 weight:69.9kg shoes: Decathlon Kalenji Kapteren XT
Seeing as I'm at home aloe most of the time, I've become a housewife. So before becoming a domestic godess, I decided to go on a slow pootle up Lantern Pike with many rests. Felt a bit poo, downhill on the road hurt the knee a bit. Also feels like I've been kicked in the balls... which is odd.
Debating whether to go Pennine training later. I think I may do...
C • do it 6
Note
Knee felt a bit bad after running down the road from Lantern pike, so going pennine was always iffy.
Then it started raining (so I had to rush out and get the washing in...) and that coupled with knee meant I couldn't be bothered, so I stayed in, watched a cracking Euro semi, drank Cider and played with the hamster. Grand.

Biking 1:53:00 [3] 18.0 mi (6:16 / mi) +383m 3:40 / km
slept:10.0 shoes: Claude Butler Trail Ridge(Bike
Had intened to do about 10 miles, but I missed my turn off as forgot where it was and hadn't looked at a map before leaving.
Decided to go out when I did to avoid the worst of the rain. Which worked OK, only I got stuck in a massive cloudburst whilst in Chapel.
From home to Hayfield along the SVT, then up Highgate road, cutting off onto the bridleway. Round the back of South Head. Was meant to turn off and head through the wash to chinley, but carried on and ended up on the Rushup Edge road. Down that carefully as was wet and had no helmet, into Chapel. Then trhough Chapel Milton, Chinley and Buggy before hitting the cannal at the baisen in Buggy. Back along the cannal to Newtown, then up throung the centre of New Mills, finishing with a sprint up Mellor road to home.
Was damp, but I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I'll get meself a helmet at the weekend - the lack of one today, coupled with the rain, lead to me riding slower than I can at times.

Here's tha route
Map my riun says it was only 16 miles and a bit. which is wrong, as my Speedo says 18 miles door to door. so ner.

Monday Jun 16

Note
slept:7.0
Went down to Hallam to meet the guy I'm working under for my lab thing during August/September, then came back to the squat to pack stuff to go home.
Am now home :)
Will have a few days chilling and walking about, then I'll do some running etc etc.
