HFW to drop off bag and remove unnecessary thermal. Cheers Kyoto!
then down to Hillsborough Park for some drills and the start of winter training (take 2) #TheFarceAwakens.
2x[small(75) large(90)], then 2 smalls with 60s between.
Larges were the Parkrun loop (1.66km; ~17m), smalls round the grass (790m; ~9m)
2:38, 5:45, 2:39, 5:56, 2:41, 2:42.
Tried to be comfortable on the downhills and keep good form on the uphills. First 2 were fine but the rest were a bit shambolic, wallowing a bit at the bottom of the hills and a couple of pains I've not had in a while - a stitch and the left knee niggling a bit - back on the stretching/strength.

An OK start I suppose.

Tuesday: DTP conference, Leeds (inc. travel and an hour of free wine) 7:00-19:30. Some sleeping done.
19:30-23:00ish - Pub Carolling.

This '2 weeks rest/2 weeks easy' post OMM is getting a bit daft, having managed 1 solid week's training in 2.5 months.
Gagging for it. Patience.

All I can fit in until Wednesday. Ventured onto Loxley to scare my favourite Poodle/Jack Russell combo. Feeling a bit stuffed up.

Monday: Confirmation Viva; Lab Xmas Meal; ShUOC Xmas Meal. No Leadmill for me unfortunately...

DVO Longstone Moor Brown
SL: 8.3/180. 1:30 ahead of SLUDO.

Nice open area, so I should have done OK. Bit heathery underfoot and I was missing some oomph because of this. 21 fastest legs but quite a few bananas, mainly due to compass (4,5,23 whole leg, 2,13 at ends).

3 Main mistakes:
9 - had this pinned as a tricky leg, climbing a vague hillside to a depression. Drifted too far left, was nearly on it (just a bit too high) but went higher to relocate - not very well. Thankfully someone led me in to it. 1:30.
22 - opted to use the end of the scattered open (mapped) to stop running and start looking. It never stopped (ground) and I was too low after going in a bit too hot and heavy and not planning based on better features. 30s
29 - stopped too early, 22 had me questioning tree mapping. 20s.

Moving OK (for a 2h long fell race) but not got much poke.

Foul weather. Glad only Edward and Dan turned up for the 'club run' as we could keep moving. Upper Rivelin including Wyming, Headstone and Redmires, from the #51

Forgot how busy the fortnight before Christmas gets, now loaded with trying to get shit finished off. Forget concerted training until next Friday!

Getting some frustration/panic out. Beeley, Oughtibridge->Kirk Edge and back. Didn't chill me out as much as I'd have liked but better than nothing. New PBs on all the longer uphill segments.
