Another poor night's sleep.
Chose to race in comfy shoes as achilles took a bit longer to warm up.

RV 10km.
Spent quite a bit of time looking at Pendle Hill wishing I was there instead.

Called ~35:10, based on the 90/60s I tok off my old half/10 pbs. Felt naff throughout, not very smooth. Maybe doing a couple of Parkruns might have got the body more ready. And not eating/drinking so much.

Anyway, got to visit ClitHero(e) so win win.

Over stines and back on canal, nice and easy, trying to flush the crap out of my system and feel less tired in legs and body.

Playing about between Snake and Kinder. You never learn anything new, just remember what not to do. 4 others receding this section; 4 others just finishing at Snake having done Bleaklow. Need to keep out of terrain for the next few days now.

km reps on the trail with Nat. Odds slightly downhill but with a bit of headwind; evens slightly uphill. Not that you'd notice it to look at (a whole 6m apparently). Surface is better than last time I did a session on the trail.
First one too fast so turned into a bit of an XC start-fast-hold-on session. Times not much to look at. Legs felt heavy from the off. Pretty well matched though and glad to have some company!

Been feeling a bit tired so taking a day off. Not drinking roo much but it all adds up. Also aware of keeping r Achilles happy. It's been a bit sore when I start a run but warms up quickly, was pleased it coped with yesterday' long one in fell shoes.

Up onto Kinder then back via some less-used paths. Unfortunately this saw me at the bottom of the Mount Famine climb so I had a good power-walk up.
