Out on the railway before weekend working.
Achilles very achey on waking this morning but fine whilst running and walking around after. I wonder if some of the exercises I'm doing are over-loading it a bit, or there's just a bit of a delayed reaction to strengthening work, as it always seems to come on the day after doing strength work.
I'm hedging on a ski-holiday-fixes-or-breaks-all approach. 50 mile weeks feels OK but it feels more like 70-80, even without tempo work. I can't see myself doing much more at the moment - which is not ideal but required.

easy and flat.
Felt very flat all day (week/month/year?) but running is having a mental boost if nothing else. My achilles is aching less during the day (almost down to zero) and other than a few twinges early in runs is quiet. No 'bonus' feelings further up it which is good. It's probably good that I'll be on flatter surfaces for the next while (and XC championship season was so dry) as going mad on the hills could well wrench it a bit.
