Spent the day marshalling the Yorkshire road relays. They say on the form you must provide a marshall/official if your teams are to race, but I reckon many don't. Anyway the men's team won, running between 14:29-15:45 for 4.8km, which was a fillip after the soul searching undergone after failing to field Northern/National 12 stage teams of late.
On the way home, leaving the sun behind, I stopped for a run from Ingleby Cross over to Cod Beck and Scarth Moor which went off mainly in cloud, but at least the rain waited until I was back in the car. I deviated from the track onto a path which soon disappeared and I was left in recently cleared 'forest' which wasn't much fun. Dangerous thoughts of late lead me to renewing my BOF membership this week - something I thought I'd go without for a few years!

Up the Incline and around Baysdale with Esk Valley. My Hr got up far too high, maxing out at 176 (and above 160 for most of it) on the Incline despite a not too severe pace - more reminder to keep it easy. However there was a bit of terrain which made part of my body go "what is this again?" and the other part "yippee!" Also achilles came on a bit in trail shoes.

General body has felt OK, but yesterday's run left me feeling a bit wiped and today I noticed I'm not fully over the mega sniffles. There's some very good times and performances filtering through and I need to stop worrying that I'll be left holding my cock when I race again and just focus on me.
