Left foot a bit sore after landing funny on a rock yesterday. Plenty of walking at Black Rock Sands and Coed y Brenin seemed to ease it a bit.

Yr Aran British Champs race. 41st.
Paced myself alright up the looooong climb, though I did end up on the wrong side of the fence at one point. Skittered about on the top of the descent, lacking a bit of dexterity, poise and nerve. Eventually got my wheels going, had a good tussle with the Royton Runners lad who cleans up in some of the peaks race, until I lost a bit of energy and he pulled away. Got going in the fields on the last run into the finish and managed to pull back 8 or so places for a vaguely respectable result and to hopefully help the team a bit.

Not bad considering the start of the year and a busy week. I'd say onwards but who knows when the next race will be.

Some CV symptoms (shortage of breath) around the Easby, Battersby, Ingleby loop. 6, 4, 2, 6, 4x hill sprints, 4, 2, strides. Some windy bits. I've felt better but also felt much worse. Didn't get run over bonus.

slept:7.5 (rest day)

Frank Turner-imposed rest day. Good time for it anyway. Enjoying my running, feeling fitter and looking forward to enjoying some varied racing over the next few weeks.
Could do with reducing my refined sugar intake though.

Easy yan with Han. Feeling refreshed for this.

Billingham Tesco out of pasta. Bog roll aisle looking alright - do the locals improvise?
