Long run into Gizzy Woods to shelter from the Beast from the East, which wasn't that bad so popped my head onto the moors. Felt good and finished strong, but do need to get that feeling on later hills, not just the nice run for home.

Guts a bit gripey to start with - running theme for the last couple of days. Too many nuts/dates this week? Weekends I normally have some bread and a couple of beers but am generally OK.

6x 4T (2). Kept the longer recoveries as not wanting to push too much too soon. Windy and drizzly, paces only a few seconds down on last week. Avg 3.39. Felt better than expected, nice and cruisy, enjoyed.

Easy round town.

Mind feeling a bit weary at the end of the week, due to 12 days straight in work. Not too bad and only 1 night with the house as a building site. Appetite is through the roof - mainly for sweet things - despite not really changing my normal eating/training habits. Guts feel a bit off this week - I have started using kefir as a probiotic again.

Legs feeling a bit worse for wear after yesterday. Low visibility kept the pace lite.

Greenhow round and half way up the Incline.

Helm virtual challenges are back. I enjoyed them last April/May, thought February weather makes it a bit more challenging. This week: 1000'/305m climb/descent. Chose the top part of the incline which gives 100m climb for 500m horizontal, a good surface for going up and down hard.

Pretty pleased with this time and the effort. Felt a bit flat beforehand and never going to feel great on a 20% gradient but ground it out.

Muscles on left (hip, quad, shin) feeling a bit blocked.

Mob. Just working out the pressure point in my hip that lead to the blockage, no point overloading it with ither exercises today. One of those satisfying points where you get a ball in it and you go cross eyed.

With Hannah to start then around Roseberry on my own. Drizzly and windy but got going OK. 5 x hill strides felt ok, even if I forgot how to run on the first.
