Baysdale loop. Legs a bit weary so started easy with Hannah. Once I'd got to the furthest point above Baysdale and turned with the wind I started feeling much better in the legs. Kept the downhills fairly honest and as my legs started feeling better I did a few surges towards the end including from Gribdale, over Monument to Fletcher's farm. Beautiful day!

~25/55/70 g carbs in each hour. Ginger biscuits, gel and drink maybe a bit excessive.

Note

Lockdown Saturdays:
7am wake. Ablute. Breakfast (Radcliffe & Maconie). Dog walk (1km). Bakery walk (5+km; 2x small granary; 4x tea cakes; 2x egg custards). The Week/Private eye. Tempoey session. Shower. Lunch. Sport and/or DIY pottering. Dog walk (1.5+km). Recovery run. Shower. Home made pizza and a beer (Craig Charles Funk n Soul). 1/2hr tv. Dog walk (800m). Bed.

Repeat ad nauseum ad infinitum.

When we can race again I'm going to be all out of whack. Well practised for retiral though.

HH 2 trigs challenge. Same route I did in May. Even without the selfie stops (and poo stop) I needed to do then, was about 4.15 slower today. Bit more tack on ground, lot more wind, more tired in legs - reminder that just because I have the chance to do more (like yesterday) doesn't necessarily mean I should if it will impinge on sessions. As it was this was a good solid workout. Roughly Lyke Wake record pace. Only that's 40 miles not 10 ( though also maybe a bit less hill, but less road)

WFH double. Recovery round town with 6 x 15s wind assisted strides - better now in roadies than later in trail shoes. If this was the not very windy part of the day,, this afternoon will be fun!

Another good week, feeling good and good busy at work. Sleep has been a bit interrupted by brain zinging about at times, but all positive stuff, maybe I should keep a bit of a lid on it though!

Late out after trip to the time and cash wormhole that is B&Q. Round Roseberry then 4 x hill strides. Legs a bit heavy after yesterday, but the strides were pretty good time-wise.
