Buttermere Sailbeck with the wife (and Helm v60s Bill and Chris for a bit after we caught them up). Cracking day and perfect conditions.

I had a Duddon entry but not feeling the need for it this weekend so opted for a weekend at the in-laws and 2 decent hill days on my own terms.

Canal and fields. Hello Hayfever!

Woke before 6 courtesy of a flappy greyhound (not ideal after a bit of Fin trouble until Midnight) so decided to get the run in early. Necked half a pint of cold tap water and my stomach went in to cramp which led to a syncope and coming round on the floor. So went back to bed. Interesting to know the syncope is gastric related and not just vomit.

Batteries starting to feel more recharged, appear to have avoided worst of the family cold so far, and the want to run is increasing. Leg loosener before this evening's fun.

Killington sports 2nd

Let a group of about 5 get excited through the fields, once onto the slightly steeper ground got on and through them pretty easily, one young whippersnapper in a St. Mary's vest up ahead who summited about 20-30s ahead, he finished 30s ahead, descent felt OK but nowt special. Legs felt heavy on ups after ride over, but great fun!

Running - Trail 11:54 intensity: (5:54 @1) + (6:00 @2) 1.62 km (7:20 / km) +95m 5:40 / km

I was asked if I was a Vet 3 separate times.
8 PM

Bike 34:55 intensity: (10:00 @1) + (18:55 @2) + (6:00 @3) +175m
shoes: CB Team

12.7km back home. Got to spectate sonenof the worst reversing I've ever seen in a game of car Vs tractor. How you can end up in the hedge so many times on a straight piece of road I don't know. Even after swapping drivers it wasn't much better!

Cracking sunset over the central and southern lakes.

Running - Fell 41:07 [2] 6.47 km (6:21 / km) +231m 5:23 / km

Checking Tebay junior courses. Exact route depends on my (in)ability to follow trods, how rough I think the kids should have it (on a ranking from "influencer" to "mandatory national service") and cows.

Tired after a day raid to the NE, and a scratchy throat suggesting that Finn and Hannah's cold is on its way to me.

Monday May 27 #

8 AM

Running - Road 58:11 intensity: (5:00 @1) + (46:11 @2) + (5:00 @3) + (2:00 @4) 11.69 km (4:59 / km) +149m 4:41 / km
shoes: NB 1080 #4

Felt better and more enjoyable than I have for a while, even did some relaxed diagonals at the end!
