Creswick Rogaine

Six-hour rogaine on a proper orienteering map, albeit at 1:20,000. Cold, clear day, and layering was the way to go. We mapped out a safe route across the top half of the map... and nailed it. Everything went to plan - the controls appeared where they should, I had the right shoes, and the knee was heavily taped and moderately well behaved.

Except that we finished in 5 hours, instead of 6. But even that was well timed, as it started to rain just as we collected our complimentary snag and fruit cake. Hoofed it back to the car (parked way up the road) without staying to be sociable.

And finishing an hour early meant that we got to the chocolate mill before the cafe closed. Mmmmm, hot chili chocolate.
