Since getting the Kickr I knew this would be a possibility and with YouTube always putting those types of clips up, I had to go for it.
From the previous week I worked out that 180watts (2.8watt/kg) would be a reasonable target and should get me to 5 reps of Alpe D Zwift. This worked well for the first 4 but I think I pushed the 5th a little too much to keep with this.
I had to stop halfway up the 6th rep and have a few minutes rest before going to coke earlier than I expected to as I was starting to go into a negative place with the lack of energy. I felt a lot better at the top and the next 2 reps got better as I went along.
The last half rep was fine and it helped with a club mate next to me online giving me the count down.
Really happy that the legs and body perked up and this has also given me a lot of information for the outdoor attempt.
