Orienteering race 1:14:38 [4] 7.4 km (10:05 / km) +355m 8:08 / km
ahr:172 max:187 shoes: Salomon Speed Cross 4

First time out on this area and really enjoyed the first part in the forest. A few misses on 3 and 4 but happy I almost nailed the long leg, I should have stayed on the path for longer mid way.
The last part was painful as my trail shoes were giving me a lovely blister.

Orienteering race 28:08 [3] 2.57 mi (10:57 / mi)
ahr:176 shoes: X talon 212

On the way to #7 my shoe fell apart completely so had to walk/jog back in. Not that bothered as the course was very uninspiring.

Orienteering 38:03 [4] 3.9 km (9:45 / km) +180m 7:56 / km
ahr:169 max:185 shoes: X talon 212

Not a clean run but no clangers. I was pussy footing it around as the bruise under my foot was quite painful over some sections.

Orienteering 1:10:36 [4] 7.4 km (9:32 / km) +210m 8:21 / km
ahr:169 max:187 shoes: X talon 212

The run went pretty much the same as yesterday but no big errors. Scrappy in places but it was nice that there were a few tracks to follow.

Orienteering 1:21:43 [4] 7.4 km (11:03 / km) +215m 9:39 / km
ahr:159 max:184 shoes: X talon 212

This went better for most of it despite the very early start.
Found out straight away to avoid the clearings that were full of bracken.
I hit most of the controls ok except for 10 and 11. Then I had a complete mare at 17 losing 6 minutes on a relatively short leg. My map had started to wear through and the colours deteriorated, even relocating off Ian didn’t help me.
The main plus though was that the calf was fine and I might make the whole week:-)
