Technical Orienteering race 58:37 [5] **** 9.6 km (6:06 / km) +300m 5:17 / km

First of all the number of controls spiked is being very mean on myself. I only made 2 over 10s mistakes but i missed a lot in the circle by a few seconds.
SOL5 in Anagach second day of our euoc wekend away. Ran M21L. Technically a good race lost around 1.5mins. Many small mistakes in the circle but one bad route and another where i stood 20m up the re-entrent for 25s seconds not seeing the control behind a bush, were where most of the time went. Physically i felt good just kept slogging away at it which seemed to have me moving well through the terrain. Towards the end i got tired but that was to be expected and it didn't loose me to much time. Overall a good race one of my cleanest of this year and pleased to be physically running well. Also i can finally say that my cold has gone which is great.
Winner Ewan Macarthy 57.40, only 58s of winning my first M21L :-(

Technical Orienteering race 55:05 [5] **** 8.5 km (6:29 / km)

Colour coded event on lossie. Ran the brown. As usual a great course(except for the spider webs, they got annoying after a while) with a bout a third in the dunes and 2 thirds in the flat. Was technically sloppy and lost around 3mins most of this was in the flat, poor compass work was to blame. Physically i fely good and strong, but toward the end of my course my core felt really tired from the day before.

Friday Sep 26

Went to the gym(again) trying to make that huge £95! pound a year membership pay for itself.

Warm up on the treadmill. 2km for 10mins put the incline up a bit every 2.5mins to get my heart rate going.

Then 12km for 25mins on the bike. Felt rather good and watched question of sport. Much harder to get the answers when your tired from cycling.

Lastly core work in the ciurcits gym for 30mins.

Not really sure what the aim of this session was, but wanted to do something because i finally feel like my cold has almost gone, yeh!

Went for a run on aurthurs seat before orienteering trainning, with my bag. Went up the seat from behind then down and up and along the top of sailsbury crags. Here i met Aleis, didn't relise that we were o'ing on the seat so was suprised by him being there, he gave me the controls to put out since he was running late. So i did the course puting out the comtrol. Was ok just had to be careful but still good trainning. Also the was a lot of hill, it ws killing.

On a bright note my cold is nearly gone. It felt much better today, must have been last nights doing that helped it. :)

My cold is getting better but still hasn't gone away so i thought i would keep it easy today with a long slow cycle at the gym.
Decided on this session to kill time. Have a free afternoon on wednesday and needed some hours filled (thinking it is going to be a great day for endurance trainning over the winter) Also it gave me a chance to catch up on tv watching! Its great you get you're own tv on the bike and 2 hours just flew buy.

Tuesday Sep 23

Easy jog with hazel and hollie around the medows. We were the ill section of the intervals tonight. It was just a steady jog made sure my HR didn't go over 150 and just watched everyone else killing themselves in intervals. Can't wait for intervals next week it looks great, loads of people.

Still have a cold so went to the gym and had a cycle. Didn't want to push it so wore my HR monitor and made sure that i wasnt trying to hard.
