Thought I was in shape for a top 30 if I had a good day. And before the race reckond I was either going to run great because I hadn’t run much this week or that being tired from a tough week at work would mean I ran poorly. Unfortunately it was the second one.
Did the race plan I was going for, start hard for the first 300m then sit up for the first lap. The plan was then to start working through the field the next two laps and I just didn’t have much in the legs to do it on the day, and subsequently also didn’t dig in as much as a should have because of it. So I just hovered around the same place all three laps. Bit gutted about it
