Allison convinced me to try an Orangetheory class last night...not really sure how to log each piece but it was a combination of rowing, running and strength. The concept behind the classes is that you aim to spend 12-20 minutes in the orange HR zone, and you wear a monitor the entire class, as does everyone else and you can see what people's HR% is on a big screen. Interesting concept, but it was a bit gimmicky for me and there were a few many high fives going on. That said, I did work harder than I would on my own and I've got a free week so I'm going to try one more class.

Woke up at 2:45 a.m. and never got back to sleep. Thought about bailing on this to try to get a bit more rest but knew the odds weren't great that I'd put in the time later in the day.

I only recently discovered that I can go into the spin studio at Good Life at a time when there aren't classes running and do a virtual class of any length. I think I like these better than the real classes as I don't have to worry about rolling my eyes at the video instructors when they are pretending we are climbing a mountain but really we are sitting on bikes indoors.
