Last week's training gaps sponsored by the secondary infection I came down with (likely related to a weak immune system from the first) that resulted in another doctor's visit where I was misdiagnosed with TMJ, a trip to urgent care on Wednesday evening when a huge rash broke out all over my body, another round of a different antibiotic and a failed attempt at sleeping pills to help me recover and get some rest. The antibiotics did their job well enough that I was able to go on this weekend's paddle trip, but this latest disaster has also left me with lack of muscle movement on the left side of my face, the symptoms of which are very Bell's Palsy like. Back to the doctor I go! :-(

Much calmer water and a better sense of where we going meant our paddle back was half the time as our paddle out! We got so lucky with the weather this weekend with only a small shower on our way out - the rest of the time the weather was just majestic!

This was my first trip to the Massassauga and I took my map to bed with me last night to think about other areas I'd like to visit!
