Sweeping the half with Amber at Summit 700. Things didn't go quite as smoothly as last year as we were at the 1.8km mark when we heard that some late runners had just started. They caught up to us pretty quickly and zipped by while we changed a marker on the course, but the time we spent waiting for them made it pretty hard to catch up with the last runners. The runners were were with at the 11km mark decided not to continue, and then it was quite awhile before we were able to catch up with runners again. As it turned out, we ended up coming in with the same guy I finished with last year, who knocked 45 minutes off his time but gave us a bit of a scare at the finish line when the medic had to be called. Temps this year were way more forgiving than last year, but the hills sure weren't!
