Morning run / hike in Letchworth State Park, and evening hike in Woodford State Park, whose claim to fame is being the highest campground in Vermont. When I saw that, it made me nervous about how Earl would fare climbing up there, but of course he handled it like the champion that he is!
Late afternoon hike in Letchworth State Park, which according to the brochure, is the "Grand Canyon of the East". Because it was in quotation marks, I'm not sure if just one person said this or if it's actually a thing. Regardless, it was a big ol' beautiful canyon.
Paddling back in from Horse Lake to the access point. This was the first time we saw any other paddlers all weekend!
I'm already plotting new routes to check out here for next year! I love that you can book the exact site you want and that there are lots of no portage / short portage options. The website has great photos of all of the sites, and lots of description about them, so you have a good sense of what you are getting.
