Earl and I chose Wheatley PP as our last big adventure of the season after reading that it stayed open until the end of October in an Ontario Parks FB post. I was so glad I did! Not only was it super quiet, thanks in part to a rainy weekend, but it was a beautiful park and an easy drive.

Cycling 1:50:00 [3]

Kept an eye on the forecast in the hopes of getting out in between bouts of rain. Rode from the park all around Wheatley, then up to Two Creeks CA. Went on the trails for a few minutes but it was way too wet to be a good idea (for me or the trails!). Took some different roads back, then explored every nook and cranny before heading back to the van for lunch.

Camped at Valens Saturday and went for a beautiful morning hike before breakfast. It's always a treat when the forecast is nicer than expected!
