Up in the Terra Cotta area working on the requirements for the Toronto Bruce Trail Club side trails badge. The route itself was a little boring - two out and backs - but it was a lovely day to be outside. I performed my good deed of the day by hauling a wagon up a set of hilly stairs for an intrepid mother who was balancing two young children (one of which who kindly offered me his walking stick because he had an extra), a golden retriever, and said wagon. She had accidentally gotten off the main trail she was following onto the Bruce side trail I was on, where the terrain was anything but wagon-friendly. I hauled it up the stairs for her so she could manage the little one in her arms, and made sure she knew where she was going at the next intersection.

This was one of those days where microspikes were absolutely indispensable and I wore them for all but a small road section.

What a difference in temperature today! After packing up, we stopped at a trail that my brother recommended to snowshoe. We weren't sure if we would need them but we absolutely did and it was a good workout!
