Skiing race 26:44 [4]
Mass start Cheri Walsh classic 7.8k. Horrible horrible start. Everyone went by me. I never got back up to the leaders. Felt fine the entire race, it was just too congested to move.
Skiing 2:05:00 [2]
Warmup and very long cooldown. Thought I should utilize the nice snow here in NH. Bummed about the race, but had a really great time skiing afterward with Alex. Was pretty much cooked by the end of it.
Running 10:00 [1]
Early AM shakeout

Skiing race 15:34 [5] 5 km (3:07 / km)
ahr:184 max:194
Silver Fox Trot Skate 5k. Felt really great the entire time. I was really thinking about all the little pieces I had learned this year and never let up. I ended up 2nd place. This was my first Eastern Cup podium!
Skiing 1:15:00 [2]
Warmup/cooldown at Oak Hill. What a gorgeous day! Course was a bit mushy around noon, but it was fantastic skiing in the sunshine.

Skiing 45:00 [2]
Checked out the course for the Silver Fox Trot in Hanover. It's an awesome course for me with lots of uphills, but there's a bit of a corkscrew at the end that makes me nervous. I skied it today so I could show myself that's it's not a big deal. First time going around it I did awesome. Second time I slipped on some ice and went off the course. I broke one of my training skis.... dammit!

Skiing 1:08:00 [2]
Skate ski at Bristol. A little icy, and made my technique feel crappy for the warmup. Did 6x drop in sprints and felt a lot more on it. Feeling pretty decent for the weekend. Gonna keep the fingers crossed.

Tuesday Feb 19

Skiing 1:15:00 [2]
Really great classic ski workouts are hard to come by in Rochester. Solid tracks at Bristol Mountain and some killer ice klister pulled through for me today. It's hard to taper when you only get to ski a couple times a week and want to make the most of it though.

4x3min, 4x10s starts, and some no pole work.
