Hiking 1:00:00 [0]

Misery Hill orienteering with the fam on the yellow. Some really beautiful lady slippers out there. Cranky kid near the end, but overall a pretty good hike.

Then later in the day Andy fell on her face while scootering, and I missed any chance of getting an actual workout in because of couch cuddles. Maybe not a terrible thing since I'm trying to rehab things. Lots of PF stretches. And gardening.

Saturday May 18 #

Cycling 1:26:00 [1] 10.23 mi (8:24 / mi)

Fells reservoir trail MTB. Very beautiful in the morning. Not clearing all the obstacles, but not as bad as I thought it would be.

Friday May 17 #

Cycling 54:10 [1] 9.44 mi (5:44 / mi)

Sore heel and trying to actually take things easy, which is almost impossible. CX ride through the fells.

Thursday May 16 #

Running 20:00 [1] 2.0 mi (10:00 / mi)

Warmup - half of it piggyback running/weight training

Running 29:24 [3] 2.61 mi (11:16 / mi)

Mary Cummings sprint course
Nice to have one of these close to home this year. Made a bad choice early on and got lost at a maze of trail intersections, but luckily the park was small and was able to find things by aimlessly wandering a bit. Pretty much right on for the rest of it, except over ran a couple of intersections/features. Played a bunch of whiffle ball afterward with Andy.

Heel is pretty inflamed/sore after this, so wondering now if going trail is not helping even though this problem started on the road. Trail shoes are pretty low drop, so might change shoes up. But first maybe some more biking to give things a rest.

Strength 1:10:00 [1]

Gym morning again. Busy in the weight room so did bouldering for 30 min first and managed a V2 and some harder angle stuff. Got a little scared of falling on one of the cave routes. Once weight room was a little less busy did some squats, deadlifts, pull ups, shoulder press, and core. This time with a little bit more weight.

Tuesday May 14 #

Running 1:36:00 [1] 9.78 mi (9:49 / mi)

Girls group in the fells. Did the green loop because one of the ladies was tired from Sugarloaf marathon. I was feeling pretty good, so added on a few extra doubletrack miles. Unfortunately heel was sore again at the end. I was hoping trails + no speed would help things along but it's persistent.
