Running tempo 1:04:37 [3] 12.0 km (5:23 / km)

Tapiola. Two sets of eight laps - second set faster than first. I got 33:20 for the first set, and then got 1:04:37 for a total time .. 31:17? for the second set. Felt crappy running. Did this workout last year and did way better.

Centennial Park. all around. First polewalk of the year. found it difficult to push myself but tried at times

The last 15 minutes of the workout cause I was getting bored.

Note

First Aid today at St. John's. I fainted in the class. I think it was a mix of it being hot out today and yesterday, dehydration from today and yesterday (I did the trail run and I might have been a wee bit tired) and the open wounds and blood in the video and photos. Was out for a total of maybe 10 seconds but it felt like a deep nap. Was really tired the rest of the afternoon.

Running race (Trail run Kview) 30:00 [4] 5.0 km (6:00 / km)

27:16 ( 2 laps of 2.5 (first lap was 13:21 or something)) So I felt it bad. Wanted to go harder but legs weren't responding. Stupid legs. Felt good though to push hard. Good atmosphere. No crap, just race. 5th woman and like 10th overall. Kelly Henry passed me like 1.5 kms into the first lap .. tried to stay with her but I couldn't. Good first race of the year though. Happy.

Ok so decided that I would go basically, race pace, but not really, just high tempo for as long as I could. Crashed at about 20 minutes. Then had to pee and there was no where to pee. So to avoid wetting my shorts I had to walk to Hamm, pee there and run home. Great run.

Also ran in my new cascadias (red ones). There were nice. Had laces too tight and feet were sore so I loosened them 20 minutes in.

Also used body glide today to reduce my chaffing I get on my tights. Worked good :)

Note

Week 2 of Work - Felt real good at the end of the day ... came home and decided to go for a run at 6. Laid down for a little shut eye at 5:30 and didn`t wake up til 6:44. I guess I was tired. Then punished my body and made it go for a run. It hated me for the first little while too.

Went up and down the service road with Katherine with poles. Moderate pace .. nothing too easy and nothing too hard. Managed to talk while we did it.

Ran easy 30 minutes out ( to 5km mark) then 2 minute sprint and 2 minutes off on the way back. Got some nice chaffing and started too fast.
