XC-Ski Skating race (Marathon) 2:44:00 [4] 42.5 km (3:52 / km) +210m 3:46 / km

I thought to be early at Maloja, but when I enterd the start arena 45min befor the start to place my skis in a good position, I had to state that I was late to get a good starting place. Lesson to take you have to be at least one hour befor the race at the start to place your skis.
With the exception of the bottlenecks at St.Moritz and Stazer Wald I had a good race and arrived after 2h44 min at S-chanf the arrival. As wind was pushing and I was rather careful with my energy spending I had enough reserve after 40km to cope with the Golan Hights and arrived in good shape to enjoy the refeshment at the arrival.

Fortunately the temperature dropped and this morning and XC-Skiing even off track was a pleasure. In no time I skied from Silvaplan to Maloja back to Silvaplana , St. Moritz and finally back to Silvaplana. It was great skiing and a good preparation for the Engadin Marathon
