Morning jog, very easy from hotel. Slightly stiff legs when I got up.

Tuesday May 27

shoes: VJ Twister Orange
EM long qualification. Good run, about 1 minute down on Merz in 5th place. One small mistake on control 17/20 - had to pause to read map with magnifier and turn to left, 20 seconds. About 6-8 seconds behind per leg on control 6-7-8 , slightly hesitant orienteering. Otherwise great. Nice area and course.

EM sprint qualifier. Good clean run, 1st in heat.

Warm up for qualifier.
Orienteering race 14:00 [5] 4 km (3:30 / km)
shoes: Asics DS Racer Yellow
EM sprint final. Felt strong, but stressed on control 3-4-5. Missed 20 secs on control 4. Lost 5 seconds on control 10-11-12. Wingsted picks up pace here and I run hesitantly, looking up too late and correcting direction reactively instead of proactively. Running strongly on sand dunes at end 2 equal fastest splits with Wingsted.
