Running 1:19:47 [3] 8.2 mi (9:44 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Running 20

Running with Presto on the Nimitz Trail! I was pretty sore from all the skiing and breaking trail and stuff and also bruised up my knee kind of badly when I fell into my ski at one point, so I just rested yesterday. My hips and knee weren't totally recovered, but it was sunny for the first time in a while today, so I just couldn't resist getting out after spending the morning in lab. Sam didn't have today off, so it was just me and Presto for the run. I was apparently not the only person to notice that the sun was out. The Inspiration Point parking lot was full and there were cars parked about a quarter mile in each direction.

The first mile or so of the run was super crowded with lots of stopping to try to get by families and stuff. It was good to see so many people out enjoying Tilden. Presto was a popular dog :-). The crowds really died down once we were a mile or 2 out and we only saw a few people for the middle 4 miles of the run. The grass is nice and green now and the views across the Bay were fantastic today. My hips complained a little bit at the beginning, but I took it nice and easy and they settled in to the run and my knee felt fine the entire time. Super nice run!

Stretching 10:00 [3]
