Running 1:09:21 [3] 5.5 mi (12:37 / mi) +300m 10:47 / mi
shoes: Brooks Running 21

Running with Sam, Kyle, and Presto in the Tungsten Hills! We headed to Bishop this morning to visit friends and get some mountain time and get away from the smoke. After the long drive, we decided to get out for a run nearby, and just headed to some hills that are like 50% hill and 50% mine tailing. It must have been a truly miserable place to be a miner in the summer, but it was quite pleasant for a run in November. We went basically straight up a ginormous hill to start and I was dying a horrible death. Between the altitude and the dry air (and potentially unhappy lungs from a couple of weeks of breathing smoke?), my lungs were extremely painful. I was lagging way behind everyone on the uphill, but we took a bit of a breather at the summit, and then I got my revenge on the technical downhill section :-). Fun, fun!

Stretching 8:00 [3]

Stretching back at Erin and Kyle's after dinner and reading bedtime stories to the kids. I basically couldn't stop coughing all night after getting back from running. I feel fine otherwise, so I'm guessing it's just altitude + dry air, but it's a bit concerning.
