Running 22:54 [3] 2.75 mi (8:18 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Running
Went running with my dad on the greenway by my house this morning. We tried to beat the heat, but it didn't really work. I guess running in 100% humidity will make other running seem easier...

Orienteering 39:14 [3] *** 4.05 km (9:41 / km)
spiked:10/13c shoes: New Balance Orienteering
CSU training at Peter's Hill. My back, sides, and abs are pretty sore from yesterday, which made things rather painful. The course was pretty fun except for the Lori-size grass and the twice up the big hill thing...thanks Ross. I wasn't as clean or as fast as I would have liked, but my knees didn't start hurting today, so hopefully they are back to normal again!

Wednesday Jun 11

Elliptical 30:00 [3] 3.55 mi (8:26 / mi)
Still really hot outside, so I went to the gym. My right knee is still hurting a bit from biking on Sunday. It felt fine for the first part of the elliptical, but started hurting after about 25 minutes.
Strength 20:00 [3]
Some legs stuff and A LOT of core.

Tuesday Jun 10

Swimming 44:19 [3] 1.0 mi (44:20 / mi)
Went swimming with Brendan this morning. It was definitely preferable to running considering the heat. I was sweating just walking to the gym.

The workout consisted of:
50 yards Breaststroke
50 yards Butterfly
100 yards Freestyle
1550 yards Flutter kick

My arms and shoulders are definitely still sore from the bike ride on Sunday, so I decided to kick the vast majority of the mile. The 50 yards butterfly was the last 50 yards of the mile, and it felt surprisingly smooth and easy. I think integrating swimming into my workout schedule is a good idea. I always feel much looser after swimming. My knees were hurting a bit before I got in the water, but they felt fine for the entire swim and actually feel better now than before I went swimming. I think I'll get a lap counter, though, so my brain is free to do things besides keep track of how many yards I've done.

Monday Jun 9

Running 29:41 [3] 3.23 mi (9:12 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Running
Went running from my apartment to the river and then did the Eliot-Weeks loop. My knees were kind of hurting from yesterday and it was hot and humid, so I was taking it easy. My knees felt fine for most of the run, but started hurting at the end, so I decided to cut my run short in the hopes that my knees will feel better tomorrow.

Biking 3:30:00 [3] 39.1 mi (5:21 / mi)
Went bike riding with Ian out to Walden Pond and back. It was really, really hot, and I could definitely tell that I haven't ridden an upright bike in a while...
