Note
I think I may (hopefully!) have fixed the hip problem. It was starting to have sciatica symptoms (pains in my butt and down the back of my leg) except that nothing in my back was hurting. I looked it up on wikipedia, and it said that one of the causes is carrying your wallet in your back pocket. The pain is on the side that I carry my wallet (back pocket) and keys and cell phone (front pocket). Today I have eliminated all items from my pockets, and it has been feeling much better. I'm hoping this is all that it was because this is the easiest injury fix ever, but it unfortunately may mean that I have to carry my stuff in some kind of bag... (I'm trying not to think the word purse...)

Note
If anyone has information on how to deal with sciatica, it would be greatly appreciated!

My hip started hurting more this afternoon, so I went to the doctor, and I have some new info. According to Harvard University Health Services, which is astonishingly bad considering that Harvard Med has some of the best hospitals in the world, I do have sciatica. The doctor doesn't think it is from my wallet, although I'm not sure how much I trust him. I now have to deal with the stupidity that is HUHS, which means that getting an appointment is nearly impossible (the earliest available appointment with my doctor is July 26 - after I leave for Europe), so I think I may just pay out of pocket to go somewhere else.

Running 31:10 [3]2.5 mi (12:28 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Running
Went to the CSU track workout. I was actually in charge of it, but my hip was still hurting, so I didn't do the actual running workout, I just ran really slowly around the track. My hip started hurting after a mile, so I took a break and stretched some. It felt better after that. It definitely still hurts though. Wendy told me that it is a typical women's runners injury, which is unfortunate. I was hoping it was something more fleeting...
Strength 10:00 [3]
Fun abs stuff. I guess it's good that I can at least still do this.

Monday Jun 16

Running 13:11 [3]1.6 mi (8:14 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Running
Ran from my apartment to the Charles River and was planning on doing a loop, but I pulled something in my hip. I started getting shooting pains in my butt and decided that I would be better off not finishing the run. I then spent a depressing 30 minutes walking/limping back to my apartment. I'll take tomorrow and probably Wednesday off and see how it's feeling.

Sunday Jun 15

Running 23:27 [3]2.75 mi (8:31 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Running
Went running with my dad. We didn't leave early enough this morning and we suffered the consequence of our actions. It was INCREDIBLY humid and kind of hot. Sweat was not evaporating at all.
