Elliptical 32:10 [3] 3.0 mi (10:43 / mi)
My running off day, so I went to the gym to elliptical instead. I was a bit sore from the strength training in physical therapy today, but in general it felt pretty good.
Strength 10:00 [3]
Strength training at physical therapy: leg presses, squats with weights, lunges with weights, bridges, and knee-to-chest's.

Thursday Jul 10

Running 20:00 [3] 2.45 mi (8:09 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Running
Moved up to 20 minutes today. I was feeling a little sore from the strength training yesterday, but it eased up once I started running. Ran from my apartment to the Charles and then did the JFK to River St. loop except that it was really shady on the Boston side of the river and really sunny on the Cambridge side, so I didn't actually cross the River St. bridge and just ran twice on the Boston side of the river. I also forgot to take my inhaler before running. Luckily it was cooler and less humid.
Strength 6:00 [3]
Normal core workout.

Wednesday Jul 9

Strength 10:00 [3]
Did strength training at the physical therapist this morning: leg presses, squats with weights, lunges with weights, bridges, and "knee-to-chest"s (I'm not sure what these are supposed to actually do as they didn't seem to stretch anything or feel like there was any strength involved. Everything felt fine except for some pain on the lunges with weights. Afterword my right piriformus was feeling tired-sore, which is greatly preferable to the sharp stabbing pains. I have also been moved up to 20 minute runs every other day!

Monday Jul 7

Running 15:00 [3] 1.83 mi (8:12 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Running
Got to move up to 15 minutes of running today! I wasn't in pain at all, but it felt fairly awful because of the heat and humidity. I wasn't moving as fast as I have been.
