Running 30:55 [3] 3.1 mi (9:58 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Running 16

Running with Sam and Presto after lab! I was super tired tonight for some reason. Presto was not, which made the run more fun. Unfortunately, I let Presto sprint up the driveway (which I often do), but I guess he was running harder than usual in his excitement or just stepped wrong or something and sprained his foot again. Sigh. I guess we'll have to find somewhere softer for him to sprint in future.

Alas, this means the backpacking plan for this weekend is off the table. I suppose I should be happy that at least all of my parts seem to be doing what they are supposed to, but a broken Presto is so incredibly sad.

Strength 5:00 [3]

Normal abs.

Stretching 10:00 [3]

Normal stretching while Presto looked pathetic on the beanbag chair.

Icing a dog's foot is kind of difficult. Presto kept trying to explain to me that really he prefers all of his body parts warm.

Running 31:08 [3] 3.1 mi (10:03 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Running 16

Running with Sam and Presto after lab! Well, actually we listened to the vice-presidential debate first (for some reason both the TV and the internet were not working so we had to resort to radio), so getting out for a run was especially useful...

My knee felt totally fine tonight, which was also good news. There were a hilarious number of deer out tonight - mostly hanging out on sidewalks, which made Presto super happy and bouncy.

Running 39:21 [3] 4.2 mi (9:22 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Running 16

Running with Presto at Point Pinole! Easy-peasy run on flat ground to check out the knee. The knee felt fine (yay!). It was super nice to get outside today :-).

Stretching 10:00 [3]

Knee still feels good, so I'm hopeful that I'm all done with whatever was wrong with it. I'll probably try to avoid long runs with lots and lots of climb for a few weeks - so pretty much all long trail runs in the Bay Area...

Hiking 1:30:00 [3] 6.0 mi (15:00 / mi) +330m 12:49 / mi
shoes: Sacony Xodus

Hiking with Sam and Presto at some random Marin County Open Space! My knee seems fine, but since it also seemed fine before last weekend's run, we decided to just do this as an easy hike. It would make a nice run sometime in the future. We had some nice views across the Bay and over towards San Francisco.

I dreamed we would have bubble tea today, so we stopped by Ranch 99 on the way home and acquired nice noodles, rice cakes, assorted Asian snacky things, and bubble tea.

Stretching 10:00 [3]

I've been icing my knee all week. It's been feeling fine since Tuesday, but since I'm really not sure what's wrong with it, I decided to give it the week off. It feels totally normal after this hike, so I think I'll give running a try tomorrow.
