Running between my cousin's bat mitzvah activities! We had a few hours between the morning ceremony and dinner, so I headed out for a quick run along Lake Michigan. We're right by the Northwestern campus, so I spent most of the time running on campus, which was nice. It is surprisingly warm and humid here, so I was kind of dying by the end, but it was super nice to get out for a run!

Running with Sam and Presto after lab! Easy-peasy run up the hill. Presto was THRILLED to get out for a run tonight and was super excited by the deer that ran in front of us for a while. Fun, fun!

Green at Tilden Park! Tilden is great for trail running (as long as you don't mind ginormous hills), and I LOVE having such a big park so close by, but it really isn't a very fun place to orienteer. I decided to run green in case my knee still needs babying, and that was plenty. Aside from lots of prickly grass and burrs and extremely steep, slippery hills, I also just wasn't orienteering very cleanly today. The flags were also REALLY hidden, so a few times I was standing right next to it, didn't see it, and then proceeded to spend a while circling around.

In good news, although my knee got a bit tired on some of the steep hills, it seems to be generally fine. And I got to see a bunch of friends, and we ended up going out to lunch at a yummy Tibetan place afterward, so that was good anyway!
